Bulger Bulletin 2/12/2020

 In Uncategorized

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are midway through another busy week! Please continue reading to learn more about our topics of study.

Reading/Social Studies:

The Constitution is our area of focus this week.  We will be supplementing the Studies Weekly with Shh! We’re Writing the Constitution by Jean Fritz. Thank you to Mrs. Veziroglu who came in on Tuesday during our class sessions to do a special art activity with the students. Due to the time spent in class to complete this project, only three spelling activities are required this week.

ELA/Writing:

Opinion essays for “What is the best animal to have as a pet?” were due on Monday, February 10th. This week students wrote BIO Poems, based on a personal hero. Students will also begin research for a new essay topic, “Should Cell Phones Be Allowed in School?”

WANTED!!!

We are still in need of glue sticks, index cards, graph paper, and tissues. These are supplies that the students use regularly and any donations would be greatly appreciated!

PLEASE NOTE:

There will be no classroom festivities on Valentine’s Day, per San Tan policy. Also, please remember to save sugary sweets and treats for after school hours.

Just a Reminder…

  • Any work not completed in class should be taken home to be finished.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to make up any work missed when absent.
  • I am available for office hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings, before school at 8:05. This is a great time for students to check in regarding missing assignments, to get extra help, or just to have a quiet space to work.
  • There is no school on Monday, February 17th, in observance of President’s Day.
